Daughters of the American Revolution

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was incorporated in 1896. Our mission is to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. There are 3000 chapters in all 50 states and over 185,000 members. Any woman who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to become a member. Current members gladly assist with genealogy research. Patriots include soldiers, women who provided aid or those who provided any type of assistance to the cause.

Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution offers patriotic citizens an avenue for participating in unique social and service-oriented programs within their communities. DAR members participate in significant historic and natural preservation efforts, youth education programs and other patriotic endeavors. Taking part in these and other exciting DAR activities is a great way to connect with those who value the ideals of patriotism and love of county while serving their communities.
